Kinesiology for children and adolescents: how good is it?

Lifting the lid on how this powerful modality can benefit kids and teens

Screen time, social media, pressure at school and processed food (not to mention parental stress) are just some of the aspects of modern life that can throw a child off balance. All of these things have become ‘normal’ and yet some didn’t exist a generation or so ago. A child may not even realise the subtle effects these stressors are having on them. They may just ‘act out’, by going off their food, being surly, wanting to isolate in their bedroom or other ‘behavioural issues’. Kinesiology for children can support them emotionally, energetically and biochemically, so that they can get back to being themselves again.

Kinesiology uses muscle testing to uncover what might be going on for someone at a subconscious level and addresses issues there. So it isn’t necessary for a child to know why they are anxious, upset or ‘not themselves’.

Thankfully, many children love kinesiology and respond well to treatments. As a parent you will likely notice improvements after the first treatment. However, it may take more than one session for a child to clear unhelpful thought patterns or ongoing anxieties.

Another cause of childhood issues and ailments can be nutritional deficiencies. This might sound absurd to some. Yet much of our food lacks nutritional value. Aside from the chips, chicken nuggets and other processed foods many kids prefer, even fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy and fish lack the vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients they once contained, due to soil erosion, intensive farming methods and long storage times. Kinesiology can pinpoint any nutrition that’s required. This may be vitamin B-complex, which supports the nervous system, fish oils for good cognition, or Vitamin C, essential for the immune system - all often lacking in a modern diet. It may be that their gut microbiome needs building up again following a course (or several) of antibiotics. This would impact anyone’s mood.

Other childhood issues that kinesiology can be beneficial for are dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, learning difficulties, poor sleep, anxiety, phobias and fears, coordination, sports injuries, frequent colds and infections and other common illnesses.

There is much more that kinesiology can do to improve you and your family’s health and wellbeing. If you would like to find out more, book an appointment or a FREE 15-minute discovery call on 07979 861577.
