What is kinesiology and how does it work?

Kinesiology is a powerful treatment that can restore your health and vitality naturally. It’s a holistic health practice that was initially developed in the 1960s by chiropractor, Dr George Goodheart and has evolved further since then. It combines nutrition, acupressure techniques, lymphatic stimulation, food testing, EFT, stress release methods and much more.

Kinesiology considers you, the whole person - mind, body and spirit–not just your symptoms. Through gentle muscle testing your body reveals imbalances, which have built up to become health issues. (Illness doesn’t generally happen overnight; it’s a gradual process that develops over time, often years or decades, only to appear ‘suddenly’).These root causes may be from multiple sources eg. stress, trauma, nutritional deficiencies, poor detoxification, accidents, insufficient sleep and more. However, they can be rebalanced through kinesiology treatments, so your mind and body can return to homeostasis (balance) and heal.

Kinesiology works on several levels to get to the root causes of your symptoms. Our bodies have an innate wisdom - they can create another human being and heal bones and wounds, for example, (if they have what they need). Through various techniques, kinesiology gives your body a voice, leading the practitioner to the imbalances behind your health issues. These may be emotional, physical, chemical, energetic or (usually) a combination. Once identified, these imbalances can be addressed during treatments, giving your body the tools it needs to heal itself.

Symptoms are the body’s way of communicating that something is out of balance; they’re the ‘warning light on the dashboard’. However, our culture has become accustomed to looking at symptoms in isolation, rather than considering why they are there in the first place. This can lead to further problems, as the root causes of symptoms and illnesses are not addressed. Kinesiology can reveal these roots, and treat you holistically, so that symptoms drop away and health returns.
